Warm, collaborative therapy for teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, school stress, relationships, emotional overwhelm, self-worth, and major life transitions.
I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to support others as they continue to grow and heal - no matter where they may be starting from.
I often utilize DBT therapy and creative, evidence-based approaches to help kids 12+, teens, and young adults better understand themselves, build practical coping skills, and feel more confident moving through life.
Every person I’ve met has deepened my appreciation for connection and the courage it takes to grow. I believe we’re all doing the best we can with what we have, and that healing begins with compassion, curiosity, and genuine understanding.
Whether I’m supporting a teen through anxiety or depression, helping a young adult navigate a major life transition, or working with a child through emotional challenges, my role is to create a space where you can explore, grow, and strengthen yourself at your own pace.
I'm Summer
Hey there
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with a passion for helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
I hold a Master’s degree in Professional School Counseling and have experience supporting children, teens, and young adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
My passion for counseling grew from personal experiences and the many opportunities I’ve had to support others. From working as a writing tutor and nanny to becoming a peer counselor and completing two school-based counseling internships, each experience has helped inform my work as a therapist for college students.
Each of these experiences showed me how powerful it can be to feel truly heard and understood, and they shaped my desire to create a space for others to explore their thoughts, feelings, and difficult life moments.

For teens experiencing depression sadness, low motivation, shame, isolation, or feeling disconnected from themselves, therapy can offer a supportive place to slow down and make sense of what they’re going through.
Teen therapy may help with:
If you’re a parent looking for support for your teen, or a teen navigating these challenges yourself, you don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, school pressure, changing relationships, or simply not feeling like yourself, therapy can help you slow down, understand what you’re experiencing, and build skills to move forward with more confidence.
Being a teenager can come with a lot of pressure
Therapy isn't about having everything figured out. It can be a place to better understand yourself, recognize patterns that aren't serving you, strengthen your relationships, and feel more grounded in the choices you're making.
If you're searching for a therapist for young adults in Raleigh or across North Carolina, I offer a warm, accepting space where you don't have to show up with all the answers.
Young adulthood can be exciting and incredibly confusing.
