I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Baylor University, a Master's degree in Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill, a license in Clinical Social Work, and over ten years working as a social worker in a variety of settings.
Before beginning my practice, I worked in foster care agencies, human trafficking safe homes, refugee mental health clinics, and mental health advocacy centers. I additionally hold a specialized certification in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) allowing me to serve clients with evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy.
In addition to my work in direct trauma care, I strive to bring accessible mental health support to a wider audience. With a community of over 300,000 on social media, I share mental health tips and practical tools for managing anxiety, healing from trauma, and supporting emotional regulation, with the goal of reducing stigma and making mental health support more approachable.
Through this variety of work and many years of training, I have developed a specialty of working with children, adolescents, and young adults in helping heal past trauma, depression, anxiety, school/work related stress, and more.
